AZForums.net is an online community, a web-based home for some and a source of inspiration for others. We are committed to delivering an enjoyable forum experience, and do so by engaging and empowering our audience; you guys, every step of the way. The AZ has become popular for both new, emerging talents and established graphic designers alike; talents that don't necessarily take visual form. Many of our dedicated members contribute other skills, including story telling, poetry, web design, programming and blogging. We also accommodate for those with a love for music, film, television, video gaming and technology, making us a very media-based forum with engaging deep discussions and debates.
The AZ is a network, built around the forum itself. We've added modules to compliment the forums, such as an image uploader, image gallery, blog, MySpace, Facebook and now a fully functional website: AZHome, the flagship of our community. Designed to work as an accomodating home page and a portal for the forums.
Like humanity, AZForums has undergone many changes throughout the course of the years. We have seen and discussed life-changing events and helped each other through tough times by just being there. The AZ is and has always been more than just an online forum. It’s a place where people can go to rant, let loose and unwind as well as create bonds and friendships that transcend the internet and last a lifetime.
It is our intention to create the most friendly forum atmosphere on the web, whilst ascertaining a brilliantly creative scene for those with a taste for the arts. With this intention in mind, it is important that we take our time to do it right. We have already reached to members from all corners of the globe, including members from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Ecuador, Australia, Romania, Argentina, China and South Africa. The AZ currently receives over 3 million hits each month, although we plan to reach 10 million before December of this year. With the members and dedication that we have, we're looking forward to a very bright future indeed.

AZForums was officially founded on August 25, 2005 by Kobius. The name "AZForums" was not the original name of the community, as initially we were known as The Anizone. The "Anizone" was short for "Animation-Zone", a forum for a small group of friends creating animations as nothing more than a hobby at school. We did not plan to create a community any larger than the 5 of us, but before long we had over 600 members, so we decided to expand. This expansion came in the form of the IP.Board forum software, in converting to this new software we started the community all over again and within a few weeks we were back to over 600 members and 15,000 posts. Since then, we have just got bigger and better and on June 7th 2009, AZForums reached an almost unthinkable goal – 500,000 posts with over 5,000 members!

Thank you; thank you to everyone that has helped make AZForums what it is today. Everyone that has helped by moderating, donating or even just contributing work to our collection. We've come along way, and none of it would have been possible without your help. I hope we'll continue to grow and strive as a community, reaching more and more artists from around the world. So, thanks again, and see you on the forums ;)
